Smiley Food

This is a GE recipe that I took the liberty of changing. Jeanne says it's the tastiest apple crisp that she's experienced. Course, what is she going to say about my cooking? She certainly wants to encourage me to do more.

Here it is:

8 cups sliced apples (preferrably Jonathan)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup maple & brown sugar instant oatmeal

1/4 lb butter softened

1/2 tspn cinnamon

1/4 tspn nutmeg

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

Use 8" x 8" pan (I don't grease the pan)

Arrange apples in pan

Sprinkle the mixed (crumbly) ingredients over the apples

Bake for 30 - 40 minutes until browned and crispy in apprearance

Serve warm or hot with vanilla ice cream and sit back and enjoy.

Okay sons, it seems like Dad has lost it. Maybe so.
BIG TIME!!!

I just created, or I should say John Millard, a web site for the walking sticks. It is
"waltonwalkingsticks.com". Like I say, Big Time now. I don't have all the pictures on yet and I need to take more, but that will come. Any suggestions, let me know.

Beautiful Zion

Jeanne & I took our tools and finished walking sticks to Springdale, gateway to Zions Park a couple of weekends ago. It was great. We set up our awning, display, and work station just off the sidewalk in front of the gallery who has our walking sticks. (Nature's Gallery of Zion) The weather was great. In all directions we could see the massive red cliffs and mountains rising above us. Accross the street was a pasture with elk. They are beautiful animals. This time of year had them bugling all through the day.

Maggie got a little aggressive. Anytime someone would stop and want to look at the sticks she'd bark at them. We sold some product and got a lot of good comments and contacts.

Oliver's new lizard walking stick

Oliver asked me numerous times for a walking stick. This is what he got.
